A stunned nervous system is normal, but when sustained it becomes both unhealthy and disempowering.

On Saturday, let's create a space where we begin to breathe again, and understand better how to create space between our physiology and public events. (Tickets to this seminar are free, but optional donations of $0-50 are much appreciated via Venmo @Michael-D-Hamm)


Anyone possessed of civic awareness is likely to feel this from time to time: the character of one’s society (and its impact on other societies) causes physical pain and disorientation.  Possibilities bloom, blood stirs, ribs stiffen.  We exert great energies to veer our minds away from too much awareness all at once.  Big Feelings burble at the edges of thought, giving us almost psychedelic focus on a blown leaf, a bus stop, a bank balance, a blog entry.
